**Wednesday, 9:40 AM — the counter. Checked in before she finds her keys.** Name from the phone number, items from a tap or a spoken sentence, ready date in words. The ticket prints, one tag per piece prints beside it, and her phone buzzes with what she dropped off. Twenty seconds, no typing. A laundromat puts bags on the scale and prices by the pound; a dry cleaner gives every garment its own line and tag; a tailor writes the job — hem, taper, zipper — with measurements.

**Thursday, 2:10 PM — the back. Every piece knows what's next.** Your stations, your names for them (sorted / washing / drying / folded; tagged / cleaning / pressing / assembled; pinned / sewing / pressed / fitting). Staff move work along from the iPad on the wall or the phone in their pocket, and the counter sees it the moment they do. The customer sees a quiet "in progress", not a phone call to you.

**Friday, 4:30 PM — where it lives. A place, not "somewhere in the back."** Scan the tag, tap the slot: shelves and bins, rack slots and conveyor numbers, or hooks plus the fitting on the calendar. When she walks in, the screen says exactly where her order is and what else of hers is with it.

**Friday, 4:31 PM — her phone. Ready. Her phone already knows.** The moment the last piece lands, the ready text goes out in your shop's name with your hours, in English or Spanish. If it sits, a reminder goes out on your schedule.

**Saturday, 11:05 AM — the door. Scan. Pay. Gone.** Scan any tag and the whole order comes up. Card, cash, or the card on file; split payments; monthly invoicing for accounts. The tag is stamped picked up, the slot frees itself, the order closes with its full history, and she gets a receipt on her phone.

**Saturday, 7:15 PM — your office, or your couch. The whole store, on one screen.** Not a report you run — the day as it happened: sales by service, pieces in and out, who's on shift, what's late, what's still on the rack, from any browser or your phone. Multi-location roll-up on Pro, staff shifts and clock-in, QuickBooks daily sales.

## Meet Hey Fold — the counter that listens

Hey Fold is Fold's voice. Say the customer, the pieces and when it's due — with your hands full of somebody's laundry — and the order is typed, priced and printing before you've put the bag down. It works on every screen, in English or Spanish, and stays quiet until you call its name.

1. **You say it.** "Hey Fold — Maria Ortiz, two bags and a king comforter, rush it."
2. **Fold reads it back.** Two bags, one comforter, ready tomorrow after five, $108. It waits for your "yes".
3. **It's done.** The ticket and three tags print. Maria's phone buzzes. You never touched the screen.

## Questions

- **Which printers does it work with?** The receipt and tag printers you already own: Epson, Star, Bixolon and Zebra, impact or thermal, USB or network. Receipts print the moment an order is placed, with one 1 × 3 in tag per piece, from a heat-seal tag printer or your impact printer. Every printer: /printers.md
- **Does it run on Windows, a Mac and an iPad?** Yes: pos.foldpos.com in any browser, the desktop app on the counter PC, or the iPad. Windows counter PCs use the print helper at /download.
- **Can I bring my customers from Cents or CleanCloud?** Yes, or from a CSV — and take your data with you the same way.
- **Can I use my own card processor?** Yes. Card, cash, check, store credit and split payments, on your processor at your rates.
- **Is it in Spanish?** The counter, Hey Fold and customer texts work in English and Spanish.
